Good news! Brian’s grandpa was moved out of ICU today! He continues to improve, but will most likely be in the hospital for another week. I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers over the last few days.

On another note, my dad chopped off the tip of his finger on Sunday. He said he was messing around with his lawnmower, doing something stupid. It’s a good thing Alex wasn’t around or he would have passed out. (Maybe I should have added a disclaimer for Alex to stop reading after the first paragraph.) I haven’t heard the latest about my dad’s visit to the orthopedist to check up on the bone, but hopefully that went well. Add him to your list…

I hate the big girl bed. With a passion. Tell me this phase ends soon.

We went to the park last weekend to catch some much needed rays.  We ran into the Turners and the Grissoms there!  I think everyone had the idea to go to the park since it was so nice.

Samantha finally went down the big slide all by herself!  It’s the big slide that’s enclosed and circles around as it goes down.  She’s been standing at the top looking down for months now.  Also, it was a bit windy that day, so someone brought a kite.  It was a ladybug!  Sam was really excited to see that big ladybug flying in the air!

(Oh, and she got some new blue Crocs earlier that day.  So far, we haven’t had a problem getting them on her feet, so maybe we’re out of the shoe weirdness phase.)

For dinner last week, we had

Hamburgers (thanks, Brian!) and Tomato Bake (from Chef’s Table in Huntsville which I think is out of business – that’s a shame because I don’t like tomatoes, but I love this recipe!)

Chicken Parmesan (I don’t really have a recipe for this, but this is close) and Carrot Souffle (new recipe I tried out. Interesting.)

Rotisserie chicken (thanks Publix/Brian)

And a big THANKS goes out to Clark and Ashley for encouraging this series. It’s more a record for me, but if I can give ideas to someone else, I’m happy to do so. I don’t really like to cook, so I’m always looking for some help. Maybe something here is just the kick someone else needs!

So Lettie, here’s the jacket that I’m currently working on. I need to get something crossed off my list, and this is the easiest and quickest that I can do right now (as in, I have no control over selling my house, which is also on my to-do list). So for now, I focus on the jacket. And Ashley, I’m working on pictures from the park this weekend. There are a whole lot more of those to sift through.
