It has been 366 days since this happened, but who’s counting? It turned into a majorish project for us. We’re still working, but we hit a major milestone tonight. We’ve been to a home improvement store six times in three days. This project WILL get finished this week.
Still not finished. I blame the mortgage company of our previous house that has since gone out of business. It has nothing to do with our procrastination.
This Christmas is a shaping up to be a little different for us. We were planning to be gone most of the week after Christmas visiting various family.
However, Ellie has had a high fever since Thursday 12/22 at 5pm. We visited the doctor Friday morning and discovered that she had a moderate ear infection in one ear. Then, the worst hit later that morning. We’re still in the midst of it, although there were a few hours this morning when I thought the worst was over and our little girl came back. Otherwise, she’s sluggish, puny and pretty dog gone pitiful.
So, I pray your Christmas is healthy and happy.
Naturally, we headed down to the Grand Ole Pumpkin Patch this year for some pumpkin patch fun. It took longer to get down there than expected, so our actual time at the patch was a little short. But, we still had a great time scouting out our pumpkins. Samantha and I walked the whole place looking for the perfect pumpkin, while Ellie was content with a graham cracker in her hand.
Hm. Which one?
(This was originally posted a while ago, but got partially lost in the hard drive crash. I’m just getting around to fixing and reposting.)
My granddad’s 80th birthday party was at the Lake this year. It was lots of food, family, and great weather. Even though the day started out with a major mishap involving a blueberry pie, I think all the evidence has been cleaned up by now.
And check out this great picture from Lizzie’s blog. Boy, Sam sure does love pumpkins. I guess it’s good that she’s an October baby.
