healthy baby!!

We have neglected to let our website-only readers in on a little surprise. Brian and I are expecting again! I am about 19 weeks, so I’m due on June 1.

We had our big ultrasound today. It seems like a recent trend to be surpised with the gender, but I didn’t want to know with Samantha either. Brian pushed really hard to find out with her, so eventually, I compromised: we find out with #1, but not with #2. Here we are. Brian still tried to convince me, but I had a bargain this time and wasn’t going to back down.

The baby looks great, and everything is as it should be. That’s always a relief.  Even if we wanted to find out the gender, the baby had its legs crossed and tucked, so the technician would have had a hard time finding out.

Samantha Kate is here! She arrived at 1:44PM on October 17, 2007. She weighed 6 pounds and 14 ounces and is 19 5/8 inches long. She’s a beautiful little girl and we are so happy to have her. Please stop by to visit. We should be home by Friday, but until then you can find us in Room 211 at Brookwood.

Janie just had her latest appointment today. Her blood pressure was a bit high, but everything else is fine. They decided to go ahead and induce anyway, so hopefully by this time tomorrow, we’ll be happy to introduce Samantha Kate.

Well, we’re still waiting. The doctor said that I’m basically in the same place as last week except now at 0 station.

Six weeks? HA! Samantha has something different in mind. A couple hours ago, the doctor told Janie she was 90% effaced, -1 station and 3cm dilated. Sam should be here soon! Stay tuned.
