Painting Nails!

A few weeks ago for Easter, I painted my toenails.  I usually am not one to have painted fingernails, but spring – fall, I tend to keep my toes colored.  Anyway, Samantha was very interested while I was painting, and picked out a color for herself (blue of course) but then when it came time for her turn, she wanted nothing to do with it.

Since then, she’s seen my toes and talked about her “blue toes” but still didn’t really want anything to do with it.  Until yesterday.  We’re hanging out in the bathroom a lot these days, and she finally decided she was ready.  So, she picked out the same blue color and we started with the toes.  She watched me so carefully and pointed out “this side, this side!” if I missed anything.  🙂  Silly girl.  When that was finished, she said “fingers next!”  Oh wow.  Ok.  Brian came home from work at that point and was able to document a little for us.

And, time for inspection:

She had fun and was very good for the whole thing.

  1. How adorable! Your patience paid off! Maybe my encouragement last weekend with the pink helped contribute to her readiness. 🙂

  2. SO CUTE!!!!! I love these pictures. I can’t wait to paint some little bitty toenails.

  3. After we finished with the blue on the fingernails, she wanted pink next. I tried to explain that the blue would go away if we painted pink, but luckily, I don’t have any pink polish. 2 shades of blue, greens, yellow and black even, but no pink. And I’m not asking for any either! 🙂
